Cie Carnaboul System

Carna is an amorous duo between the sky and the earth, where dance and terrestrial and aerial acrobatics meet object subversion and music.

It is the story of a man who carries inside himself a woman who sleeps at the root of his spinal column. Her name is "she who is rolled up there". Carna slips into the cascade of his memories and haunts his nights.

But the power of a dream is surely as real as the trace of a step? At the end of the day, it is also the story of a flesh and blood women, a rebel from the sky. Out of the ashes of their story, these two characters reinvent a love that is about to be born, recreating memory.

The show uses movement that is lifted, danced, acrobatic and aerial to sustain the music and the actors' performance. The unfathomable mystery of love is re-examined in silence in black and white.

This charming lovers' duo is based on a physical and dramatic fabric that is woven between sky and earth. The unique substance of the lift acts as a cement for creation. Between the vertical and the horizontal, Alexandre Blondel and Manuelle Haeringer lend shape to an astonishing study of unusual aerial materials with objects subverted by manipulation (the object as an extension of the actor, the inert object that comes to life with human contact).
