Brigitte Chataignier and Michel Lestréhan are both dancers and choreographers who divide their time between France and India. Their unique artistic worldview combines a contemporary approach to choreography with a profound commitment to the traditional arts (dance, theatre and music) of Kerala (southern India), where they have studied under some of the great modern masters since 1987.

Brigitte Chataignier has earned a reputation as one of the rare Western artists to master the Mohini Attam dance tradition.
Michel Lestréhan is a specialist in Kathakali theatrical dance and the Indian martial art of Kalaripayatt.
Together they dance, teach and work to forge a creative path reconciling East and West, tradition and modernity.
Prana’s shows tour regularly, with live musicians and occasionally with the special participation of Indian master performers.

Prana is also a founding member of the Collectif Danse Rennes Métropole based at the Garage (a space dedicated to innovation in contemporary dance).
Prana also serves as line-up consultant for various festivals and cultural events.
