The creators of the blackSKYwhite company introduced and continue to develop a specific technique in which they place the actor on the knife-edge between reality and illusion, where representations are more of a dream than an imitation of reality. Their shows are always full of surprising visions: the actors' movements treated as "computer graphics", with music that includes electronic, cabaret and ethnic elements, intense lighting creating an unreal impression: a magical world that is both intimate and real.

It is difficult to define their brand of stage direction, the company's style is closer to modern choreography in its most anti-conformist forms. The shows tell no story, reveal no plot, narrative arc/grammatical structure. Instead, they reflect reality with dreams, leaving a lot of scope for the spectator's intuition and unconscious in a fantastical world reminiscent of a Russian Tim Burton film.
