After two years with Cie Coline, Delphine Lorenzo enrolled at the Centre for Choreographic Development in Toulouse and made the acquaintance of Philippe Combes and Pascal Rambert. She has since gone on to work with Cie Cave Canem.
She first joined forces with Denis Savary in 2009 for his project Les Mannequins de Corot. Since then their collaboration has blossomed, giving rise to a series of performances which blur the line between theatre and exhibition. In 2010 the duo co-founded Compagnie SLD. Also in 2010, Mié Coquempot invited Delphine to direct and choreograph a group of thirty performers as part of the Kuronoz project.
Denis Savary studied at the École Cantonale d’Arts de Lausanne, before taking up a year-long artistic residency at the Pavillon du Palais de Tokyo. During that time, he established a close connection with Christian Bernard, whose support has proved to be invaluable. In 2008 he directed Simone, two, three, four with 2bcompany, in collaboration with François Grémaud.
Over the past decade he has worked closely with Delphine Lorenzo; together they form Compagnie SLD.
La Ferme du Buisson and the Centre Pasquart de Bienne (Switzerland) recently made Denis the subject of a retrospective exhibition, showcasing a collection of his videos, drawings, cartoons and sculptures. Since 2006 he has taught at the École Cantonale d’Arts de Lausanne.
