Compagnie Pas de Dieux considers the endless potential of the body to be the starting point of all dramatic storytelling, a point from which action unfurls its tendrils, forging its own path, driven by its own ineffable logic.

The raw material for Pas de Dieux’s explorations and creations is the tradition of Corporeal Mime pioneered by Etienne Decroux, a discipline which teaches performers to isolate different parts of the body, to vary the intensity and rhythm of their movements and to fully exploit the potential of tensing and relaxing different muscles.

The organic research of theatrical anthropology is also an integral part of the actor’s profession.

Above and beyond bodily movement, spoken language is a means of celebrating poetry as the fundamental essence of being.
