Sara Mangano and Pierre-Yves Massip work together to craft a gestural and visual theatre where the body is at once the means and the end.

They work with the drama of movement to evoke everyday life with all its little ups and downs, as well as taking audiences on epic lyrical flights of fancy. A poetic, popular theatre which draws upon the rich visual lexicon of mime while remaining open to arts and influences from new theatrical territories.

After a number of years with Compagnie Marcel Marceau, and ten years as artistic directors of Acta Fabula, Sara and Pierre-Yves created their own company in 2010: Compagnie M.M. (formerly known as Autour du Mime).

Since 2010 they have toured the world with their shows.

Sara Mangano and Pierre-Yves Massip are also strongly committed to sharing their artistic know-how, basing their teaching on their deep understanding and familiarity with the three major schools of mime: Marcel Marceau, Étienne Decroux and Jacques Lecoq. They are also tireless campaigners for the promotion of Mime and the Theatre of Movement, contributing to initiatives such as Mim’Provisation and Mimésis.

The company is always open to collaborations with other artists: musicians, actors, puppeteers and circus artists who bring a fresh perspective to the art of mime, while sharing the same fascination with social themes and current affairs
