Back in 1987, Anton Andassinsky decided to found a school dedicated to exploring new approaches to theatre and dance. Together with his students, Andassinky founded Derevo.
The members of the troupe have mastered an impressive array of performance techniques: comedy, tragedy, commedia dell'arte, circus, music hall, buto and more. They also draw inspiration from cinema, literature, visual art and the world at large.
