Ludor Citrik’s clowning career began at the turn of the millennium, and has thus far yielded four original works, starting with I am not a number (2003), followed by two sadi-comedies: My worst nightmare, a bloody quartet (2007) and The nudity of stew (as a duo with Isabelle Wery, 2008) and the first instalment of an ongoing exploration of the archaeology of being: Who are I? (2012), in partnership with Côme Delain. Fascinated with perception, and particularly our sense of hearing, Cédric Paga (alias Ludor Citrik) and Camille Perrin (Le Pollu) are currently working on a new project called Ouïe. Ludor Citrik’s performative explorations are marked by a sense of overflowing vitality, in thrall to the power of joy and determined to overthrow the established (dis)order of things in order to expand the horizons of play.

A clown wakes with a start and finds himself slap bang in the middle of a show that he doesn’t know. A rules-obsessed teacher is attempting to corral him into a sort of social laboratory where all senses and desires wither and die, a sort of stage-bound lockdown.
