Labyrinthe delves into the murky depths of fear and renunciation.

This origin myth plunges headlong into the mysteries of ancestral legends, embracing their metaphorical representations of man’s journey through life, wandering through a kaleidoscopic succession of beautiful, strange images. The intensity of the actors’ movements (reminiscent of Derevo, alma mater of one of the troupe’s founding members) is as captivating as the fascinating beauty of the living tableaux they create, offset by the unsettling strangeness of the situations. And yet there seems to be an invisible thread running through the fabric of these stories: confronting the idea of creation and the inevitability of “the monster”. What shall we do when he appears?
