Cie Libertivore

A "hanging tale" that introduces us to the great and heart-stopping thrill of empty space…

A young girl, light as a leaf, wanders through an imaginary forest, a hanging branch invites her to dance, to blend in, to whirl round and round…
Between dance and circus, Hêtre derives its power from its simplicity and authenticity of movement. A hypnotic, harmonious ballet between an unusual apparatus (a tree) and a young woman in the process of metamorphosis. Alternately hanging, wrapped around or perched on a vertical branch, the acrobat dances through the air, giving the public the wonderful impression of freedom that is inherent to aerial disciplines. Nearby, the accordionist who accompanies her creates a musical bubble around her. An intimate little break that is soothing, joyful, and enchanting.
Directed by Fanny Soriano and Jules Beckman, the Libertivore company owes its singularity to its high artistic standards, the risks the performers take, and their physical and emotional commitment. Their work is based on improvisation and a blend of genres, borrowing aesthetic elements from dreams and the real world, from nature and modern life.
