Up on the stage a cassette player sits alongside an embarrassing male specimen and a woman pretending to be pregnant. The woman represents femininity, our hope to save the world. Such is the way of the universe according to Schreber, who brings to life the skewed reminiscences of nervous breakdowns.
An exploration of how different art forms conjure up real and imaginary worlds… ripe for change.
Damaged by miracles is the first duo performance piece produced by Falsa Imago: a sensual exploration of the equation man + woman = God.
The two actors explore ideas of gender politics and confused identities, constructing a fragmented visual and auditory narrative with explosive implications: psychological and cultural identities, issues of representation, sexuality, media intrusion, intimacy, silence…
