Derevo
The artists who make up Derevo don’t like the term “actors”.
The various members of Derevo live in an artistic community which makes no distinction between the work presented to the audience and the work which takes place throughout the rest of the day.
Their concentration, passion and work ethic have transformed them into muscular avatars of artistic asceticism. The artistic direction of their work is greatly inspired by the Buto tradition. Their fragile, lyrical creations draw upon the secret internal worlds of each member of the troupe, as well as the shared preoccupations of the society in which they live.
